About Marketing-Don Blog
The Marketing Don Blog was created by Al Scillitani. For those that do not know me, I am sure you are asking, “who the hell is Al Scillitani?”
I have been testing and researching SEO since 1999. I have also been working in paid search accounts since 2002 (currently Adwords and Yahoo Certified). Between those years and today I have worked for myself, consulted, worked in two SEO/PPC agency’s and two private company’s as their search/internet marketing manager. I also became familiar with, and managed, affiliate marketing since 2006 and email marketing since 2007.
Due to the numerous client accounts I worked in, I have been involved in over 200 different SEO and Paid Search projects as a tech and/or manager. Companies ranged from small local accounts to worldwide Fortune 50 clients with paid search spends over $250,000 per month.
I have written in, been interviewed for, or have articles published on clickz.com, marketingpilgrim.com, gooruze.com, brucelay.com, searchenginelowdown.com, thesemzone.com, and many others. However, I am probably most known for my “letter to Google” on Marketingpilgrim.com asking for headache medicine and Google actually sent me some. It ended up being one of the most digg’d stories of 2006 and used as an example in SEO conferences.
I love testing and then sharing what I find. The goal of the blog is for others to use it as a resource and post/comment their test results as well. As most of us know, there are no absolutes in marketing a website. There are so many variables to optimization, the more we share the better it will be for all.
